Thompson Residence

The client’s brief was to enhance the space without changing the layout. The interiors also had to have broad market appeal for resale purposes. We sought to reimagine the apartment through the use of colour, texture, joinery and decoration. Taking inspiration from our clients lifestyle. The design was inspired by everyday rituals, the penthouse is an elevated sanctuary.

The design makes for everyday experiences, the kitchen and dining space was a key part of the brief. A stage set for entertaining friends, selfcare or weeknight dinner hangs. The palette is fresh and calming with pale blue-green greys and light tonal walls. Each space hosts captivating details that elevate the resident’s daily rituals whilst capturing panoramic headland views. 

The interplay of femininity and boldness is felt throughout. The penthouse gracefully navigates the owner’s love of blush tones and avoids an overly directionally colour play that would deter future buyers. 

A product of the owners love of entertaining, and as a retreat from career and travel, this home is boldly effeminate.
